Our Services
At Words In Motion, we are dedicated to helping children aged 3 - 16 unlock their potential through comprehensive, personalised services designed to address their unique needs. Whether your child is navigating communication challenges, academic difficulties, or both, we provide targeted support to help them succeed and grow with confidence.
How We Can Help
Our goal is to help each child we meet gain the confidence, skills, and support they need to effectively communicate, learn, and engage with the world around them. To do this:
We go beyond traditional speech therapy by addressing not just communication difficulties but also literacy and numeracy challenges, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, using evidence-based techniques and tailored academic interventions.
We strive to provide sessions that are interactive and creative, so that learning can be an enjoyable and engaging experience for each child.
We equip caregivers with practical strategies and guidance not just to support their child's progress at home, but also to create a lasting impact on families by empowering them with the tools and knowledge to confidently support their child's growth.

Access Arrangements
We support children in accessing the accommodations they need to succeed in academic settings. Whether it’s additional time, assistive technology, tailored classroom strategies, or evidence-based study skills, we help students approach exams with confidence and efficiency. For older students, we provide guidance on effective revision strategies and organisational techniques, equipping them to manage their workload and perform at their best. By working closely with schools and families, we ensure every child has the tools to thrive academically.

Occupational Therapy Assessments
Occupational therapy assessments offer a clear, whole-child understanding of how a child manages daily activities, from self-care and classroom tasks to social interactions and play. Through a blend of standardized tools, observations, and developmental history, we explore motor skills, sensory processing, visual integration, and handwriting to pinpoint what may be affecting participation. This process brings clarity for families and helps guide next steps to support a child’s growth with confidence.
Genomic Testing |

Genomic Testing
At Words in Motion, we offer genomic testing as an optional service to help build a deeper understanding of your child’s unique biological profile. This testing, provided through Love My Health Pro (DNA Labs), explores how genetic variations may influence areas such as attention, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and nutrient utilisation.
The test is simple and non-invasive, using a saliva sample collected at home. It does not diagnose conditions, but provides insights that can help inform more personalised support strategies.
For children with dyslexia, ADHD, sensory processing differences, or learning challenges, genomic insights may help guide tailored approaches to learning, therapy, and wellbeing.
Genomic testing is used to complement-not replace-professional assessments and evidence-based interventions. Our team will guide you through the process and explain the results clearly, ensuring the information is used in a practical, child-centred way.
“Our holistic approach ensures that every aspect of your child’s communication and academic journey is supported. We celebrate their successes, equip families with effective tools, and provide the compassionate care they deserve.”
